In order for "Hellia" red organic vinegar to be produced, grapes are left in their juice so that the natural pigment can be more efficiently released and, thus, the grape gets its deep red color. These organic grapes of the "Agiorgitiko” variety have been only grown in Nemea region, in the Peloponnese. To fully develop its flavor, the red organic wine should mature and be stored for a certain period of time before being bottled as vinegar.
During this whole process, the temperature is regularly monitored and at no point sulfites or preservatives are added. In this way an organic wine with intense aromas and fruity flavor is produced. With the most modern method of vinegar production, the submerged fermentation one, "Hellia" red organic vinegar is ready. The finishing touches follow where the organic herbs of the Mediterranean basin are added. The final result is an organic vinegar with complex aromas and slightly sharp flavor.
"Hellia" red organic vinegar with Mediterranean herbs is ideal to accompany beef recipes, smoked meat, lamb, game and raw vegetables.
